Martin Sockett could be without two key players when he takes his
side to Paget Rangers.
VS fought out a second successive draw with Bedworth on Wednesday and finished the game
very strongly – but it came at a cost.
Midfielder Lee Harriman looks set to be out of action for around 6-8 weeks after
damaging knee ligaments. He twisted his knee in a tackle and had to come off.
Striker Scott Machin damaged his neck in the same game and is only 50-50 of making the
trip to Paget’s new £1 million ground. That would be a big blow to Sockett’s
side – they haven’t lost in the three games since Machin’s move from
Hinckley.
Former Sky Blue youngster Jamie Lenton had a few groin niggles during the game but is
expected to come through and play.
Sockett does have options if Machin fails to pass a late fitness test, with Liam
O’Neill, Justin Wiseman and Lee Lavery all ready to come in.
