Rugby Lions have hit lock forward Richard Kinsey with a one match ban for the repeated infringements which earned him three white cards.

Kinsey, who joined Lions from Wasps in the Summer, has been handed a one week suspension by Rugby and so he misses Sunday's home league match against Moseley.

Rugby have several players injured and the club is hoping that the extra day's rest will enable some of them to recover in time to play.

Skipper Mark Ellis says they have targeted this match as one they can win and if they do, they will leapfrog Moseley in the table.
