Rugby Lions have changed their entire team for their Cheltenham
& Glooucester Cup second leg against mighty Leicester ‘Tigers’ at Welford
Road on Sunday.
The Lions have clearly conceded defeat. They beat a Leicester team much weakened by
international calls by 8-5 last Sunday. Leicester’s top men will be back for the
second leg, but Rugby have their sights on the important Second Division league game
against Leeds the following week.
Accordingly they have given their first team players the weekend off, and will send
virtually a second team to play Leicester.
Team: D. Evans; Czerpak, Aldridge, T. Harrison, Jasnikowski; Hopkins, Bailey; S. Evans,
Davies, Wingham, Withers, Underhill, Paine, Gladstone, Thompson. Replacements: B.Harrison,
Bishop, Robinson.
