Return To The Forbidden Planet is back with a brand new cast, a revitalised set and some sensational new special effects to take everyone on a breathtaking journey towards the millennium.

Busting at the seams with red hot hits including Good Vibrations, Monster Mash, Great Balls Of Fire, It's A Man's World and Hey Mister Spaceman.

Join Captain Tempest and his interplanetary buccaneers on their unexpected journey to Planet D'Illyria, where they encounter the dastardly Doctor Prospero, his beautiful daughter Miranda and their roller skating robot Ariel.

The 1999 company features leading American actor Robert McCormick as Captain Tempest. Robert won great critical acclaim for the role in the New York production and is thrilled to be making his British debut in the show. Following months of extensive auditions the show's producers have assembled one of the most talented and dynamic and talented companies in the country.

The space age set, designed by Rodney Ford, which has delighted thousands of Planet fans over the last decade has been excitingly revitalised for the 1999 tour featuring new state of the art projection.

Sally Lesser has also created some new costumes for this latest voyage. Gerry Anderson, creator of Thunderbirds, has designed sensational new special effects.

Return To The Forbidden planet beat Miss Saigon, Aspects of Love and Buddy to win 1990's Olivier Award for Best Musical. Loosely based on the Tempest, Shakespeare's forgotten Rock 'n' Roll masterpiece Return To The Forbidden planet has wowed audiences all over the globe and now comes to the Belgrade Theatre from 5 - 17 July.
