Cineworld Opens Its Doors In Rugby

After a gap of 25 years, film buffs in Rugby finally have their own cinema.

The nine-screen Cineworld projected its first move this week and has already proved a hit in the town.

Free drinks, champagne and a special premier of current hit Hannibal have marked the opening of the 1,500-capacity venue in Leicester Road

Spokeswoman Maureen Hamilton said:

”Rugby hasn’t had a cinema for 25 years and the response has been fantastic.

“Some big movies, like Hannibal, will be shown on two screens so we can meet demand.”

Special weekly features such as a children’s offer on Saturdays are being run. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3.50 for children and other concessions.
