The Coventry Development Plan will help to control development and conserve
wildlife, landscapes and the natural features of the city to
ensure that future generations can enjoy a high quality, clean and green environment.
New nature conservation sites, a firm line on the design of developments, protection of
woodlands, a new policy on allotments, developments which avoid pollution,
policies to safeguard and enhance existing buildings, protecting
wildlife and maintaining the character of local green spaces are
all important in achieving our vision of a city that is an attractive place to
work, rest and play.
