The City Council believes a new, modern hospital is best on the Coventry and
Warwickshire site because it will give:
- better access for all to improved health services
- better and easier transportation links for both inpatient and outpatient visits
- development on a site which has been built on before as opposed to building on green
fields
- a major contribution to the economic regeneration of the City Centre
- new jobs in the City Centre and Hillfields
- a major impact on the environmental and social regeneration of Hillfields
- links into other major developments in and around the City Centre
- the opportunity to bring a new Medical Training facility to the City Centre
