MONARCHY LIVE is graced with a very rare first time festival appearance from Manchester's finest groovers and dance legends the HAPPY MONDAYS. The Happy Monday's along with acts like the Stone Roses, Joy Division, New Order, the Charlatans and the Inspiral Carpets, single handedly created Manchester's music explosion and Cultural Revolution in the 90's. The HAPPY MONDAY'S infectious mix of dance music, blended with 70's grooves and Bez's unforgettable mad dance and maracas routines became the signature sound and style of "Madchester". Fans will be in for a rare treat seeing the band reformed and performing some of their classic tracks.

The Multi award winning (Q, NME, BRITS, Mercury's, Ivor Novello's) Britpop and alternative music stars SUPERGRASS are also set to grace the main stage at MONARCHY LIVE. One of the biggest bands of the Britpop era alongside BLUR and OASIS, Supergrassers Gaz Coombs, Danny Goffey and Mick Quinn have recently been touring the globe promoting their sixth studio album "DIAMOND HOO HA". The band who split with their record label EMI last year (2008) have now set up their own record label Supergrass Records, a new album is expected from the guys in 2009/2010.

One of the finest indie band's to have emerged from Sheffield alongside The Arctic Monkeys are REVEREND & THE MAKERS who exploded onto the indie music scene in 2007 with their smash Top 10 hit "Heavyweight Champion Of The World" (#8 UK
Charts) which was followed up with their Top 20 hit "He Said He Loved Me". The band who have previously supported Manchester legends Oasis, Ian Brown and The Verve kick off a series of live dates in July with MONARCHY LIVE followed by five nights supporting the legendary OASIS. The band will also be previewing new material from their second album due out in the Summer.

The HAPPY MONDAYS, SUPERGRASS, REVEREND & THE MAKERS will also be joined on the main stage by former SPECIALS/FUNBOY THREE collaborator NEVILLE STAPLES. Staples is currently celebrating a 30th Anniversary Tour with THE SPECIALS along with original founding members Terry Hall, Lynval Golding, Sir Horace Gentlemen, Roddy Radiation and John Bradbury. STAPLES also collaborated recently with fellow Coventry stars THE ENEMY at one of their homecoming shows at Coventry's Coliseum performing the hits "A Message To You Rudy" and "Too Much Too Young".
