EVENT CYCLE RIDES
DATE Sunday 21 June 2009, 9am (and every Sunday)
Coventry CTC cycles through the back lanes of the countryside surrounding Coventry. We cover about 50 miles (70 in summer) returning to Coventry by about 4pm (6pm in summer). We stop at a pub for lunch. Our pace is moderate (about 11 mph on average whilst we are "on the saddle"). From May, shorter, afternoon rides will also be offered every fortnight.
VENUE Meet at 9am at Starley House, next to Coventry Railway Station
TICKETS New cyclists are always welcome and may ride for one month with the group before joining the CTC

EVENT National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies (NAFAS) National Show 2009
DATE Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 July 2009
At the Show the members will be staging 500 Floral Exhibits, whose perfume and colour will be truly spectacular. Top floral designers will be giving demonstrations to a thousand people at a time. Over the three days of the Show we have many more activities planned including a superb Shopping mall, talks and hands-on workshops.
On the Friday evening we are holding a glittering Gala Dinner in celebration of 50 years of flower arranging.

EVENT The Guide Dogs Experience
DATE Saturday 18 July 2009, 10am - 5pm
Be taken on a free journey through the work of Guide Dogs including how we care for and train guide dogs, how they are matched to blind and partially sighted people and the work that supports this including campaigning, fundraising and volunteering. Visitors can also visit the Art for All exhibition, watch dog competition and show rings, take part in a 5k and 10k fun run if they are feeling adventurous or younger visitors can come to the Pups Play Zone.
Organised by The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.
